Raleigh 13th November 1835 Dear Sir
Your letter of the 9th Instant was received this morning and I have carefully searched the musterrolls of the name of James Forehand, and regret that it is not to be found they are — I am of opinion his services were all militia, as there was no Captain Green of the Continental line, and General Caswell was a militia Officer.
Yours respectfully S/ W. Hill
Genl. N. Washington
P.S. Be so good as that passed Mr. N. G. Bryan and Mr. Griswold to send the amount of my account against Mr. Collier by someone coming to the Assembly and I will send them a receipt for the same. S/ W. H.
